BLF logo
The British Lung Foundation is the only UK charity working for everyone affected by lung disease. We focus our resources on providing support for people affected by lung disease today; and work in a variety of ways, including funding world-class research, to bring about positive change, to improve treatment, care and support for people affected by lung disease now and in the future.
The BLF works in partnership with PCTs to deliver lung health awareness days offering lung function testing, smoking cessation advice and information on keeping lungs healthy. Our self management plans and exercise diaries for those diagnosed with COPD have just been updated in collaboration with healthcare professionals and the SHA Respiratory Leads. Both are designed to be used by the patient with the guidance of their healthcare professional. In addition to this we also offer a BLF Helpline, Breathe Easy Groups, PenPals and online forum, free information leaflets, BLF Nurses and BLF Active.
