Hepatitis C Service Commissioning Workshops
A series of workshops will be held across the UK, supported by MSD, to bring together clinicians and managers to discuss improving Hepatitis C service provision and commissioning of new treatment options.
The purpose of the Hepatitis C Service Commissioning Workshops is to educate a broad population of healthcare professionals and commissioners to enhance their awareness of Hepatitis C and treatment options. The workshops will also look at working within a network and opportunities to improve and develop services for patients.
This meeting is essential for:
• Hospital based clinicians (Hepatologists, ID/Virologists, Gastro, HCV/Liver).
• Chief Pharmacists & nurse specialists.
• Primary care healthcare professionals (GPwSI, Head of medicines management, HCV nurse
• Other (Public health leads/consultants and Health & Well Being Board members).
The aims of the meeting are:
• To facilitate the opportunity for informal discussions between clinicians and management in the NHS.
• To enable a better understanding of local networks and initiatives.
• To provide an understanding and initiation of local planning in Hepatitis C, irrespective of how
of how this planning has progressed and discuss opportunities and best practices moving forward for implementation.
These workshops are free to attend for all NHS staff. Spaces are limited so please book your place now. An informal buffet will also be available during the workshop.
We are able to offer 2 CPD points for those who attend.
